SPSSI's 2020 Advocacy Day in Washington, DC

On Thursday, January 30, 2020, 19 SPSSI Council members, other position holders, staff, interns, and allied professionals visited Capitol Hill to talk about the epidemic of violence against Indigenous women and girls and reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act. The day began with a training led by SPSSI President Stephanie Fryberg, PhD and SPSSI Policy Director Sarah Mancoll. The group then split up in small groups to meet with the offices of 17 U.S. Representatives and 28 U.S. Senators across 13 states.
