Young (CUNY Hunter College), John T. Jost (NYU), and Nelida Quintero (American Psychological Association).
On 10/11/2024, SPSSI-NY hosted a law-psychology forum at Fordham University on “How can we improve our justice system?” with Robert L. Emmons, JD (Fordham). On 11/2/2024, SPSSI-NY cosponsored its largest local activity--the 33rd Greater New York Conference on Behavioral Research, co-chaired by Professors Laura Egan and Jamie McDonald at the bold new campus of St. Francis College in Brooklyn NY. Close to 100 students and professionals participated in a full day of research presentations, panels, and 8 juried student research awards, ending with a salute to SPSSI and the Heroic Imagination Project of Professor Philip G. Zimbardo (1933-2024).
Looking ahead to 2025, SPSSI-NY welcomes suggestions. Its plans so far include a day-long conference at Hunter College, a social hour during the Eastern Psychological Association (EPA) meetings on March 6-8, and possible activities with the SPSSI team at the United Nations.
